I could boast about my 13 years working in the travel industry and the professional training I’ve completed to understand destinations and products - and that certainly matters, but what truly sets me apart is the depth of my personal travel experience, from the most Northern part of Iceland to the most southern part of mainland Australia.
Plus, as a disabled traveller myself and having taken many trips with my gran’s mobility scooter, I understand first-hand the realities, considerations, and opportunities involved in accessible travel.
I’ve flown in Economy and stayed in budget hotels. I’ve travelled in Premium Economy and been based in lodges. I’ve experienced Business class and lodged in rented apartments. I’ve even experienced First Class and indulged in luxury hotels. Oh, and don’t forget motels on self-drives, tents on safari, cabins on cruises, and a range of caravans! Am I saying I’ve done it all? Well, no, not yet, but I must be getting close!
